LED Growing Trolleys for restaurant Emma in Eindhoven (NL)

Restaurant-bar and pastry Emma has opened on 5 October in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The restaurant, which is located opposite to the Philips Museum, is founded by Joost Saris and Ruud Adriaens. The restaurant has a little menu card which is adapted continuously to what is in stock. The vegetables and herbs which are used by the restaurant, are being cultivated in the restaurant itself. So the visitors of the restaurant can see the food production while eating there. Thus, the consumer and the food producer come together.

The restaurant chose for the Light4Food LED Growing Trolleys to cultivate the vegetables and herbs. These LED Growing Trolleys are provided with a watering system and Philips GreenPower LED Production Modules by which the optimum light level is reached to cultivate vegetables and herbs. The scarce square meters of the restaurant are being used optimally because the LED Growing Trolleys consist of three cultivation layers.
